Appledore Book Festival

 As part of the 2010 Appledore Books Festival, Classes 3,4 and 5 have been visited by professional authors. Class 5 have been visited by Devon-based author David Lawrence-Jones and Classes 3,4 and 5 will be visited by the Welsh author Ceci Jenkinson on Thursday 30^th September.

Some children in last year’s Class 3 designed posters to advertise the book festival. The festival organiser, Polly Thompson was so pleased with our work that she invited those children and their families to take part in the opening ceremony and to meet the famous author/illustrator Babette Cole. As a thank-you for the children’s hard work, the festival committee have presented our library with a collection of lovely books.
