Welcome to Stroxworthy! This year, Stroxworthy is created from a mix of wonderful Year 2s and Year 3s, taught by Ms Bird, Mrs Nisbet and Miss Allen.
We use the Class Dojo app to keep you up to date with the latest announcements and reminders, so please make sure that you have downloaded the app and keep a look out for messages from Stroxworthy. Please also look at the blog for photos of what we're doing in class.
This year, PE is timetabled for Mondays and Thursdays. As timetables can often change, it would be helpful if PE kits could remain in school so that the children have them whenever they are needed (these will be returned at half-term and end of term).
Spellings and times-tables will be sent out each Tuesday. Home learning activities (based on the children’s learning within school) will be sent out each Friday. Alongside this, when possible, please encourage/support children to read at home. The children each have their own individual ‘home-school contact books’ where this can be recorded.
Please let us know if you have any questions about life in Stroxworthy. There are opportunities for chats at drop-off and pick-up times however, if needed, please feel free to email either of us at dbird@villageschools.org.uk or enisbet@villageschools.org

Forest school is currently on a Tuesday morning, so please allow your children to bring a pair of wellies into school, clearly labelled with their name.
PE is on a Monday and a Thursday, please make sure your child has full PE kit in school, with trainers and a fleece for colder weather.
Homework is issued, in the green home learning books and/or on Google Classroom, on a Thursday and due in the following Friday. This includes work to support your child's learning, and spellings for the spelling test the following Friday.
